Transgender and Non-binary Competition policy

The SPORTSYSTEMS implementation supporting the Swim England Transgender and Non-binary Competition policy is a change to the existing Boys/Girls/Men/Women labels as follows ...
  • Boys renamed to Group 1 Open/Male
  • Girls renamed to Group 1 Female
  • Men renamed to Group 2 Open/Male
  • Women renamed to Group 2 Female

Group 1 and Group 2 are included in the new labels to maintain backward compatibility with old, historic meets. The Group 1 and Group 2 designations are only visible to the Meet Organiser, they do not appear on Start List or Results.

New Meet Creation
The option to select the 'Meet Transgender Policy' appears on the initial 'Identify a New Meet/Session' dialogue. When the Meet Transgender Policy is set at the start of the meet definition process, the events titles created will follow the policy i.e. Open/Male or Female.

Edit Existing Meet
Edit an existing meet, set up before the software was changed in line with the new policy, in the Menu option: Tools > Meet General Settings dialogue.

The event titles will need to be individually edited to 'Meet Transgender Policy' labels in the Menu option: Before Meet > Meet Definition > Event.

Any Category reporting remains unchanged with the Boys/Girls/Men/Women labels and will map back to the appropriate Group.

Note that British Swimming and World Para Swimming have yet to publish a Transgender Policy.
